Our seniors are preparing for their graduation on Tuesday June 24, 2010. All of our Benway School graduates receive a certificate of completion and a diploma from their public school district. Please check out our new addition to the Benway School Website. Under the category Student Space, you will see and hear our music video with original students work. Mr. Scalia, our music teacher, teaches our students with various instruments individually and in group musical sessions. He also provides instruction on instrument repair as you will see in the video. Also, with our state-of-the-art recording equipment, students can compose original music and learn the techniques of recording.

Benway School is proud to announce that 14 students achieved honor roll status and one student was honored with high honor roll. A great job student and teachers alike. Students were rewarded with a principal luncheon and they enjoyed the feast immensely.

Our public schools child study team appreciation luncheon was a huge success. Every May at Benway School, all child study team members who have referred a student to Benway School are invited to a special luncheon in appreciation of their referrals and effort during the school year. 28 school districts were represented this year and all members saw a Smart Board presentation of all their students’ activities through out the school year. All were very impressed with the amount of student works and achievement. Make sure you are on the list next year for this very festive occasion.

Benway School will continue to strive and become the #1 Special Education Private School in New Jersey.  In order to achieve our goal, Benway School has purchased and set-up Smart Boards in every classroom, including our newly approved elementary class.  Yes, Benway School is now approved for K through 12.  Smart Boards are providing our teachers and students with an interactive approach toward modern day learning and keeping discipline and behaviors in check.
