Our clinical department is made up of highly qualified social work professionals that have been trained in various child and adolescent therapeutic practices. The clinicians focus on a multitude of techniques that result in helping each student establish and attain their academic, social, and emotional goals. When working with the students the primary focus of treatment is to assess, treat, and stabilize symptoms that impede their academic functioning. In addition to building a therapeutic rapport with each student the clinicians regularly maintains contact with other services providers that may be involved with the student’s mental health care. Each student receives individual counseling sessions one time per week as per their Individual Education Plan (IEP). They are also provided with additional counseling sessions on an as needed basis.

Crisis Intervention:

Our Crisis Team is available to respond immediately to any potential issues that may occur throughout the day. The Crisis Intervention approach used is to help the student restore emotional stability so that they may return to the academic setting.
