Benway School is committed to the tenet that students with regression, recoupment and emotional/social issues should be afforded the opportunity to attend the ESY (extended school year) program. Our six week program runs from the beginning of July through mid-August from 9:00AM through 1:00 PM.

We offer a myriad of services, including but not limited to: the opportunity for students to earn an additional 10 credits, an Art program, Music program (small group & for 2015 a residential program from NJPAC), PE program, and counseling.
Staff and students interact in a less structured environment and the results are always positive. Benway also opens it’s ESY program to additional out-of-district students who are not enrolled during our regular school year. Strong computer usage (geared towards helping students feel comfortable, with multitude of contests with various prizes, free breakfast/snack, volunteering opportunities and many weekly surprises! In addition, students have the ability to earn a trip every Friday.
Our trips include: swimming, bowling, movies, obstacle course/zip lining, buffets, & semi-pro baseball games. Friday trips vary from year to year. Past trips have included the zoo, concerts, spas/pools and parks. We also use multi-modalities to make summer learning more enjoyable….Our program instills a sense of individualized success.
